Samantha Urioste LCSW, LADAC
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work in 2018 and my Master of Clinical Social Work in 2020 from New Mexico Highlands University. I began learning the field of social work and addictions through clinical supervision, conducting individual sessions, facilitating IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) groups, facilitating MRT (Moral Reconation Therapy) groups, becoming Matrix Model and MRT Certified, and supporting Women’s Recovery Groups.
After three years in the field of addiction, my path led me to working in the mental health field in 2022. I have been supporting clients in mental health for the last three and a half years, integrating my experience in addictions with trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapies. I support individuals in both addictions and mental health through my professional experience and development.
In 2024, I obtained certification specializing in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) interventions, allowing me to support distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and helping individuals engage in healthier, adaptive behaviors. In 2025, I further expanded my expertise by earning Complex Trauma certifications, enabling me to provide targeted support for individuals processing significant trauma and its lasting effects.
I hope to support my community of Las Vegas, New Mexico, where I was born and raised, and others around the state through Telehealth services. I have experience working with young children, adolescents, and adults (ages 6–65+), offering direct support one-to-one and through family sessions.
